Job Responsibilities

The position is a combined role where you will work as a meal assistant and cleaner in a flexible placement.

This means you will work at all preschools in the Southwest. As a meal assistant with us, your tasks include some preparation and serving of delicious and nutritious meals, which also includes special diets.

Your duties also include dishwashing, cleaning, and daily maintenance of the preschool. You will order supplies and carry out the unit's self-control. You will work independently but collaborate with other staff to provide good service. Heavy lifting may occur in the kitchen environment. You should focus on sustainability and work with environmentally friendly meals. For us in the City of Gothenburg, environmentally friendly meals mean more vegetarian options on the plate, reduced food waste, purchasing organic and environmentally adapted food, and adjusting menus according to the season.

You will have daily contact with our guests, internal orderers, and external suppliers regarding orders. We work in various IT systems for ordering and meal planning, and we offer training in these.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has at least a high school education and a minimum of two years of experience in meal service and cleaning. It is a requirement that you have training in kitchen and cleaning and good knowledge of special diets. To manage orders, you need to have sufficient IT skills. It is an advantage if you have documented experience from working in large kitchens and knowledge of self-control and food hygiene.

Since you will meet customers daily and manage orders, you need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, for the tasks.

As a person, you are positive, service-oriented, and have good customer interaction skills. It is natural for you to be a face of the organization and to focus on the customer. You are flexible and act independently based on what the situation requires without needing support from others. In addition, you find it easy to collaborate with others and build good relationships with both colleagues and customers.
